About Scrappy Hollow
There are sayings that ‘If you want something done right, do it yourself’. That is what inspired Scrappy Hollow to open its doors 4 years ago. The huge range of quality products available in Australia and America, prompted us to stock many of these with a large array of tools to get tasks done with a minimum of fuss.
Scrappy Hollow is located right on the Maroondah Highway. Whilst other shoppers are searching for car parks at the major shopping centers, why not take advantage of our ample parking right outside our door, and get all of your scrapping needs under the one roof. We do have a large variety of products available for purchase but in the off chance that we have not got what you are looking for, we can certainly get it in for you.
Scrappy Hollow prides itself on being the largest Victorian stockist of Sizzix, Cuttlebug and Cricut products. We have Sizzix, and Cuttlebug machines available for in - store hire, but we are sure that after using the various machines you will fall in love and will want one of them at home too.

Scrappy Hollow has had its spacious interior referred to as a ‘Scrapbooking Supermarket’. We have wide aisles suitable to accommodate prams and wheelchairs and have large themed areas for individual needs. We have a class area which can be used to spread out your ‘work in progress’ as you choose suitable papers and embellishments to make your masterpieces extra special. We also have an area suitable for partners and children to wait patiently for the scrap booker to finish their shopping spree in peace.
Scrappy Hollow offer a wide array of classes, including a monthly card making class, and also a ‘Teen Trends’ class once a fortnight specifically aimed for the younger scrap bookers. Every second Friday night and one Sunday per month sees our Crop Sessions, which are a social gathering for the keen scrappers, and our School Holiday program for the younger scrap bookers to come and set the inner artist free.

I started scrapbooking in July 2005. My father-in-law’s 65th birthday was approaching, and I offered to do ‘something’ with a handful of photos. Well, these few photos that I expected to be scrapping, somehow turned into a 20-page album! That experience got me hooked, and I haven’t stopped since.
Now I have a wonderful was of displaying all the school photos that have been sitting in the drawer for far too many years, and I have found these were a great way to start on my own family pages. They are always quite good quality, and the color scheme is limited to the school uniform colors, so choosing papers and embellishments was easy.
As a mother of 4, I have plenty of subjects to use, and love being able to scrap pages to suit the mood, style, or personality of the photo; every page is unique. I love 3 dimensional effect of followers, chipboard alphabets & shapes, ribbon, buttons and stitching on page; they really help bring the photo to life; and add interest to my pages.
I’m a green thumb, so lately I’ve started taking pictures of all the flowers in my garden. In the next few months, I’m going to start a journal using these photos, and create a wonderful record of all the colors, textures and smells I love. (There might also be come caterpillars, bees and ladybirds in there too!)
I am ‘thinking person’s’ scrapper…. I take time choosing papers, alphabets and embellishments. I like everything to match, and am endlessly moving things around the page until I’m happy that it’s ‘balanced’. Sure, it might take a wk (or so!) to complete a page, but the main thing is that in the end, I’m happy with it. (I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s gone to bed thinking about a page, and have great ideas pop into my head to try the next day either!!)
I have an HP Printer at home which scans negatives and slides. It’s a wonderful tool to have when I come across precious photos or pictures that I can now preserve for the future. It’s also great for printing photos just when I need them, and being able to crop and adjust the color to suit the papers I want to scrap them with. Black & White photos are great to use against bright, busy papers and current Black & White snaps can be used on traditional or heritage style ranges.
As well as being a member of Scrappy Hollow’s Design Team, I am lucky enough to also host the Birthday Parties here. No matter what the age of the children, or what project they work on to take home, I am constantly amazed at just how differently they use the same products, to create such individual works of art.
